I'm loving this book, but listening to it on audio and (like Rodger Ebert's memoir) I'm torn between loving and hating the narrator - entirely due to their clear vocal signaling of jokes and irony. Such a dry sense of humor, being read so... Wet.
pickOn the last few pages of this book, which is like "Thieves World" plus "Blue Sword" plus fantasy erotica. It's delicious. But... It has some pretty graphic flashbacks to childhood abuse, sooooo. Trigger warning for that.
