I was ready to love this book, and it kept me interested up until the very end. However, I felt the ending was a bit lack luster. I loved the characters, the setting, and the plot. The author did her research, adding historical details and figures to the story. Overall, a great middle grade read about boys! Because decent middle grade boy adventure novels are hard to find outside the fantasy genre, I would say give this one a try!
