This memoir of Locke's love with her husband whom she met on a trip to Italy, their journey through life, the loss of Saro, and her relationship with Sicily really touched me. It found myself fighting tears during parts and smiling through others. I loved learning about Sicily (the culture, the food, etc.,.) through her eyes. All around a well written tribute to love and family.

Unlike the first 2 books of Center's I've read and really enjoyed, this one fell flat. Characters were okay, I didn't love the plot.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book depicting motherhood and friendships within a playgroup in Manhattan, and with the younger woman they hired to play music for their babies. I was not expecting some of the twists and turns, which I really liked.

My absolute favorite book from the past few years. Love the story, characters, and writing. Easily became a Tara Jenkins Reid fan after this one.

LoverOfLearning I read one other book of hers previously and loved it! Such a unique story line that goes back and forth between two different lives of the same girl. It explores how one choice can lead us down different paths. Loved it. 4y

Well, here is a fantasy fiction that I enjoyed. Instead of dark and dramatic, it's bright and captivating. A magical house full of loveable, quirky characters. I loved Linus's journey throughout the book. Different--unconventional, yet comforting. I kind of loved it, and the whole time I kept thinking that I could see it being made into a movie.
