I've had this book for about 3 years and just finished reading. It just took so long to get going that I kept giving up. I probably tried reading it about 5 or 6 times before I got through it. It's not bad just really slow.

I had already seen the movie but was 14 when I first read the book. I would read it at night after doing my homework and it scared the daylights out of me (or was it nightlights ☺). I've read it several times since and it still gives me some goosebumps but nothing like that 1st time!
