Happy Family started out strong so when it became boring in the middle I was disappointed. I have too many other books I want to read. I couldn't stick it out.

I liked this semi historical fiction set in a place I don't usually read about. I noticed that despite all of the domestic servants people had there was still a lot of manual labor. It allowed me to have a different perspective on my life and what more can you ask of a book?
I enjoyed the era and the setting but this story of a dysfunctional friendship grew tedious. I liked Yohnalosee so much more.
Isabel Allende is hit or miss for me. This was definitely a hit. I'm all for books about content old people. It gives me hope.
I wanted to love this book but there were too many loose strings at the end for it to be lovable. I did like the way it featured San Francisco though.
So far this book is a love story about San Francisco. I approve.
This book was adorable. The author knows old ladies and fashion. A very comfortable read.
It hasn't worked. Yet. This self-help book exceeds my page limit by 59. It's got to be outstanding to get me to commit to anything longer than 300.
I only wished this book was longer. It made me feel smart to read it. I need all of the smarts I can get.
K so the cover is a little embarrassing but I thought it was a good read. About the effects of adoption.
Not only did I love this book but everyone I've recommended it to likes it also. Thank you, Target.
Not a Joyce Maynard fan. Don't know why I picked it up. I gave it 109 pages and quit.
I was hopeful about the evangelical Christian stuff but snore.
