I love the language. It is lush with descriptions that read more like poetry. Jin has a talent for the small moment & possesses a gift for characters‘ inner dialogue & reflection. The story itself is not much of a story. The reader, like characters, spends the book waiting for *something* to happen. That feeling isn‘t satisfied. Includes a graphic depiction of rape, but is well-handled. Overall, a decent book about the mundane nature of love.

The language in Waiting is so lush & beautiful...it encourages a slow reading pace, and a feeling of anticipation—like waiting for something long hoped for.
