"Your story is what you have, what you will always have. It is something to own."
I know I'm late to the party but I just started reading #Becoming by Michelle Obama. Still on chapter 1, loving it already!

Having already read The Interpreter of Maladies, this was the second book of Lahiri that I picked up, with In Other Words probably next in line. As an Indian who recently moved to the US, I can, for the most part, relate to the stories weaved together beautifully in this book, pulling me closer by staying true to its title. With each passing story, the book left me wanting more and feeling heavy all at the same time the second I finished it.
On a mission to complete at least one book a month in 2018, I'm happy to share I've successfully completed five so far this year and starting off with the sixth one! #ReadingChallenge2018 #JhumpaLahiri #UnaccustomedEarth
I'm not usually one for romance novels. Picked it up at Powell's intrigued at the title and I don't regret it. This is one of the weirdest yet absolutely charming fantasy novels out there! It's a must read if you're looking for something light to take your mind off of the mundane, and destress a bit. 😀

I picked up Ghosh's Calcutta Chromosome after reading his beautiful novel The Hungry Tide, but this book was a huge disappointment! I usually tolerate bizarre writing but this one just turned out to be more of a thriller in terms of the writing than of the genre itself. 😐
