Originally released in 1997 and translated into English in 2005, it won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2015. Ukraine & Belarus were still part of the USSR in 1986 when the Chernobyl disaster happened and it was handled horribly. This book gives the victims a much needed voice. Beautifully done.
