Always wanted to read Pablo Neruda poems by the sea. I can finally check that off my list. Next goal: live by the water 😄 lol

First read this about ten years ago. This was the book that introduced me to Ernest Hemingway. Hemingway wrote it in a since to prove he was still to be considered a great writer, since he had not written one in over a decade. Many consider this his best work, earning him the Pulitzer Prize in 1953 and Nobel price in 1954. Until recently I discovered this poet, Rudlofo Anaya, the father of Chicano Literature, and I instantly became a fan. I loved "a child's Christmas in New Mexico" and "Walt Whitman Strides the Llano of New Mexico" Looking forward to reading the rest of his poems.

I came to know about him last year while taking an online class about Latin literature. Out of all the writer's we discussed about, I had a pull to him the most. I now write my own poetry.
