Anther great read from a man who makes historical non-fiction accessible to those who may otherwise pass it over.

Picked this up on a whim, and was totally pulled back to France. The storyline is captivating and touches on some of the more delicate topics floating around today, but these topics are given balance by descriptions of food and life in this part of France. Although the Bruno books could be read as stand alone, if you want to follow the relationship between him and Isabelle, and also Gigi it is worth following the series in order.
Great quick read with plenty of twists and turns
