Given the transcendence of God and the finitude of ourselves, what's remarkable is how many of God's reasons we can understand, at least in part. 5/5

In 15 short stories, the reader is treated to glimpses of the United States through the eyes of young American women. These range vastly and the best stories shine. Added bonus: at least half feature girls of color.

Suppose we have only dreamed, or made up, all those things - trees and grass and sun and moon and stars and Aslan himself . . . in that case, the made-up things seem a good deal more important than the real ones . . . I'm on Aslan's side even if there isn't any Aslan to lead it.
