Emotionally challenging and completely worth the ride. I'm always impressed by a writer's skill in changing voices from chapter to chapter. Kingsolver handles this deftly which left me connected to each character. This novel lays bare the cruelties of the world and offers insights into colonial Africa that leave me more informed and frankly probably a better citizen than I was before. I'm grateful for the clarity.
