Loved the way Min Jin Lee tells this story through different generations of a family. After reading this I really want to visit Japan and South Korea - the history of both nations is written beautifully and the food sounds delicious too! All in all an excellent thought provoking book about identity with well-rounded and believable characters.

This book is slow starting off but definitely picks up.... Really liked the little twist at the end 😉 Love me a good 'ol crime/mystery novel! 🕵

This book was amazing! It's up there with one of the best books I have read. I found it incredibly empowering, moving and insightful. It offers much more than the title suggests and if you're looking for a book that has female empowerment at it's heart, this is it! I love to read books that showcase a different culture to my own and I thoroughly enjoyed the Anglo/Indian aspect of this book. 5 stars from me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cheryl2 Sounds really good and I think I like the same type of books like you. Could I have a lend! 😊 xxx 7y

Recently finished this book after reading the Mr Mercedes trilogy in the wrong order! (Finders Keepers, then Mr Mercedes and finally End of watch). Loved the first two books and thought Stephen King's venture into writing detective novels was a successful one! However, the telekinesis featured in End of Watch was a bit of a stretch for me, this sci-fi part of the book seemed strange having read plausible plot lines in the previous books.
