Wow! Great book! So scary though!
Wow! Great book! So scary though!
Wow! This was a really good, important, if uncomfortable read.
This book is wild! I keep forgetting that it‘s not fiction.
Just got my copy! So excited to start reading it!
Re-read for book club. This one still bugs me. But it always leaves me thinking...
Whoa! Just 33% into the book and I can‘t stop reading. So much has happened in just one night! This is one wild ride!
Finally got to start reading The Last Book Party. Enjoying it.
This book was so good. I‘m still processing.... It describes what Violet experiences mentally and the religious and medical “experts” so-called treatment for her problems. So sad and angering— but so well written.
Wow! What an intense read! Bought it last night and finished it today. Could barely put it down.
Loved it! Naturally! I also love the cover of the advanced readers edition.
That was too close for my taste. Finished #24in48. But now so involved in The Night Agent it will be hard to stop reading.
Good Omens is still a wonderful book. So glad I started #24in48 with it. This is the third copy I‘ve bought. The other 2 have walked off with someone- the kids, friends, not really sure. Had to get the Kindle version so I can always find it.
I had to take a break for some sleep because I‘m old. But I‘m back at it with a big mug of coffee. #24in48
Wow. The Current is a riveting and haunting read. Will be working on my review. So good.
Currently reading, among others.
Got this at B&N tonight - 100 pages in and clearly I‘m not going to be sleeping tonight until I finish it. 🤷♀️📚
Stayed up to finish this last night. I enjoyed it a lot. Now to work on my review. Also, I love the cover!
Enjoying this one so far. Lots of historical information, liking the different perspectives.
Just met the author, John McAllister at MKE Irish Fest. Bought his book and got his autograph. Lovely man. I can‘t wait to get started reading.
I‘ve read mixed reviews on this one, but I read it in one day and actually really liked it a lot. I like this author and how tricky she is. I love the twist and the fact that the character you expect to be the good guy isn‘t really. This was a compelling read- couldn‘t put it down.
Because you can never have too many books to read. Right? Can‘t wait to start this one!
#24in48 Alas, I won‘t be able to make it to 24 hours. But I have had a great time reading this weekend. I am at 22 hours - not too terribly bad, I guess. Three books finished and 61% through book four.
#24in48 Third book finished. Total time so far 19hr
Two hours into third book. A little over 11 hours total so far. #24in48. Time for some sleep and then I‘ll be back at in in the morning.
Back to reading after some sleep. #24in48
#24in48 I think that‘s all I will be able to read tonight.
As usual, Gortner does an amazing job telling this story of a fascinating woman in history. I really enjoyed reading about Minnie, her life, family, tragedy, but mostly her strength.
This was a brutal but eye-opening book. Difficult to read due to the overwhelming sense of sadness and bitterness over a lifetime of starvation, suffering and disappointment expressed by the author. I learned a lot and feel was definitely worth the read.
This was such a good read! It really didn‘t go where I expected and that is great!
I really enjoyed this and look forward to reading more by this author. #ashleydyer #splinterintheblood
Reading this lovely book today. Loving it so far. #trialonmountkoya #susanspann #
