I‘m calling myself done with this. Overall, it was fast-paced, but too long, too violent, and too full of love triangles for my personal taste. The ending had a good payoff, though, and I‘m slightly curious how the magic elements will pay off. Not curious enough to continue the series, though. #teenbookclub

Cooking with a book may not have been my smartest idea, particularly when making meatballs. At least it isn‘t a library book.

The book isn‘t my favorite, but my coworker picked it as our inaugural #teenbookclub read. At least it‘s a quick read, and I can see it appealing to fans of The Hunger Games and other high-stakes reads. I just wish sexual violence weren‘t a constant threat. #ya #fantasyish
