Pickpick

A really interesting story about the arowana fish - about the fish in nature and the “trade“ of it. I knew it was highly prized but I had no clue that there was so much intrigue around it. Alot of the story was in my country which was really eye-opening for me.
Read this for #nonfiction2020 #somethingaboutascandal and #letterv

rockpools That sounds bizarrely fascinating! 4y
Smarkies @rockpools it was! There were some jungle adventures off the beaten path for some elusive species of this fish. I learnt alot from this book. 4y

Pickpick

I am literally speechless. This book should be given to anyone thinking of an Italian holiday with the label Proceed At Own Risk. I cannot believe that a country that gave us the Renaissance has such a farcical legal system. Anyone who still thinks Amanda Knox is guilty, needs to read this. In the end, the story isn‘t about the murders, it‘s about what happened after them. Madness. #Jumpstart2020 #NonFiction2020 #SomethingAboutAScandal #Booked2020

Cinfhen Fantastic review!!! Sheer lunacy and madness. I couldn‘t get over the Italian police😱 5y
Lizpixie @Cinfhen I just feel so sorry for not just the families of the poor victims, who have been forgotten about here, but also all the people who have had their reputation and lives shattered by a narrow minded, obsessed lunatic with a badge.🤦🏻‍♀️ 5y

bookandbedandtea Pretty much my exact thoughts on reading this book! The whole thing is crazy and fascinating and, not that I have much chance of doing so, it made me wary of traveling to Italy. 5y
DGRachel Loved this book and I completely agree. It actually makes me leery of traveling anywhere because all countries have such different legal systems. 5y
Hooked_on_books So true! Poor Amanda Knox. Totally not guilty. And this book is so good. 5y
