Xingu And Other Stories | Wharton, Edith
Pickpick

Okay obviously there'd be a reason Wharton has stood the test of time, so I shouldn't be surprised, but... wow these were impeccably crafted short stories. Wharton is added to my list of how-the-heck-have-I-not-read-them-before authors. Will definitely check out at least one of her novels.

Also @andrea4 if I don't finish our book in time for bookclub... blame this book. #sidetracked #sorrynotsorry

Andrea4 Well if i fall asleep during the movie, blame your terribly wonderful beanbag chair! 6y
BarbaraBB She wrote some great books. I‘ve read four of them (not yours) and loved them all! 6y
llwheeler @BarbaraBB Awesome. I think I'll try The Age of Innocence next 6y

So, I bought my son this book as he is entering “high school” (he‘s homeschooled/unschooled so it‘s kind of all relative at this point). I decided to browse through it just to see how it could be useful - and now I‘m full out reading it. I know there is one for adults but this one is quite good so far. And, even more importantly, it‘s engaging (a must for the intended audience). Anyhow....#sidetracked #stolehisbook

kyraleseberg I had to read this years ago in my high school psych class & really enjoyed it 👍 7y
TheWordJar We homeschool, too, and though my oldest is just getting ready to enter the middle school years, I‘m always on the lookout for future resources! 7y
TrishTheBibliophile @TheWordJar I would definitely recommend it, but I‘ll follow up with how he likes it - since I guess that‘s most important 😝 They have a journal that goes with it as well. I didn‘t buy that as I figured we could talk through the chapters together but it is available! 7y
