#weekendreads - I meant to post this way earlier today. I‘ve been reading the tagged book since the first of the year.
I‘ve been listening to The Crescent Tea Room on audio.
I enjoyed this but I think with all the holiday happenings I finished feeling like I didn‘t love it as much as her Fake Mate. Hoping she continues on with cryptid romance!
Book 86 of 2024
A spicy rom-com set in the Scottish highlands of loch ness. Keyanna 'Key' MacKay returns to her ancestral home after her father's death to reconnect with her paternal relatives. A chance encounter with the rugged local, Lachlan, leads to secrets uncovered and a mystical connection to the legendary cryptid Nessie. It definitely fits the trope of shifter/monster romance.😉😅🤣
Oh @AardvarkBookClub you temptress.
I added, removed, added different ones… and settled on a selection that may be a little less typical for me… but just as exciting. 🤩 #aardvark #aardvarkbookclub
Also we decorated our tree today! @Malachi helped a lot!! 🎄♥️
And I mailed out 3 more swap packages:
Both of my #jolabokaflodswap packages and my #LittleChristmasSwap package. 😅💌📦📚💝

I'm willing to give most stories with an ace character a chance, so despite a bunch of other tropes I don't much like, I picked this up.
My favorite character was the grandmother, and I really want to read the mystery series Cedric wrote.
But I really don't much care of stories with super rich characters and I really disliked Cedric's brother and the way he treated Vince. so the whole thing was a bit of a wash for me.
4.75⭐
• This book was maybe my favorite because Etienne travels to the future/Selene‘s era and his insatiable need to soak up every little thing he can was so fun to observe. This also had the perfect ending to a time-travel series. Perhaps, the most surprising thing about my reread/listen is that I enjoyed the series so much more the second time around.
• Mason Lloyd & Courtney Patterson both gave amazing performances.
This had many of the tropes that I enjoy reading like: He falls first, Second chance romance, if you fell in love with Allie and Noah in Nicholas Spark's The Notebook, then this book will whisk you away in a sweet and touching story of love found and lost, hearts broken and mended, and the strength of Love and Souls to find their back to each other.
A rollercoaster ride filled with sexual tension. You get on at chapter one and you don't get off till the very end. I absolutely love this story, and I love all the Highland characters. The whole series is intense, addictive, and mouthwateringly sexy. I'm so glad I chose the audiobook, Shane East and Stella Hunter narration just adds to the story. Shane's brogue and deep voice is spine-tingling sexy!
