What a poignant and tragic story about 4 characters, their flight to freedom, and the Wilhelm Gustloff - how had I not heard of that tragedy? I really liked the alternating POV being used to build each character. I might‘ve actually sobbed at the end of this book because I became so invested in each one. This is a must read and thank you for sharing with me @Cinfhen 😘

Daisey I really enjoyed this and both of the other books by Ruta Sepetys that I‘ve read! Such great characters as well as important historical stories. 7y
