pickOh, this was such a fun read! This series has really grown on me, thank god I only have to wait 2 months for the next book. This world is awesome and it's pretty rare that I get invested in romantic relationships, but I'm shipping so hard for Kell and friends and their respective budding feelings. I just love them all.

Went to my local Barnes and Noble for a Harry Potter Magical Holiday Ball and came out with these gems. I am very intrigued (and mad I didn't think to do it) about Jane Austen Kama Sutra: A Playful Presentation of Sense and Sensuality. So, those instances where our brains read certain passages and instantly went to the gutter have finally been gathered into one amazing tome?!?! muahahahaha 😎
Day off today and it's cold and rainy. I'm doing mad masses of laundry in between taxiing kids around and desperately trying to make some headway on this book to finish up my #readharderchallenge2016. Plus, I desperately want to get to my next library book!

so-soMcEwan, author of one of my all time favourite novels - Atonement. I have found myself in positions to defend his writing but not with this book. I just could not overcome my antipathy to the main character, Fiona. Possibly, if we had spent less time focused on the awkward unravelling of her marriage - things might have gone better. Interesting moral questions here and masterful writing even if it is only occasionally in service of a good story.
pickDidn't think the book could match the creepiness of the movie, but it definitely succeeded. Many a sleepless nights reading this book before bed can attest to that! 😬 #readharderchallenge2016 #horror #stephenisthekingofhorror
