LinesUponAPage @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks right? This book is getting hard... it's completely sad. So many people have such trauma. I think she is brave and I applaud her for sharing her story so that others know that they are not alone. :(

#20FactsAboutMe
1. I was the 1st person in my family to graduate HS. Parents and grands all quit before graduating.
2. I graduated from college, another family first. My parents were proud.
3. I am a coal miner's daughter.
4. I get my love of reading from my father.
5. When I started college I was so painfully shy I couldn't walk into a classroom if people were already in there.

Bookwitchery 6. When I was a teenager I attended a Pentacostal Holiness church with an elderly aunt. 7. During a revival in the middle of summer in a packed church with no A/C, I became nauseous and my Sunday School teacher started speaking in unknown tongues and tried to cast devils out of me. 8. I joke now that it clearly didn't work, but it was terrifying at the time. 7y
Bookwitchery 9. During my freshman year in college I took a women's studies class and was petrified for the first couple of weeks because of rigid religious beliefs. I was sure lightning was going to strike. 10. Looking back that all seems very naive and silly, but I am forever grateful to that class and those profs.(It was team taught.) 11. I am ordained and can officiate weddings in most states. 12. I laughed when I was told I'd be a mother by the age of 30. 7y
Bookwitchery 13. I had my daughter less than 3 months after I turned 29. 14. I am pretty empathic and sometimes have to step back and remind myself what is and isn't my baggage. 15. I used to have a red ratsnake named Azrael. 16. It was given to me by an emotionally abusive boyfriend who knew I was terrified of snakes. 17. I kept the snake and got rid of the abusive boyfriend . 18. I'm open about that aspect of my life because I believe in #nomoresilence. 7y

Bookwitchery 19. I believe in advocating for domestic violence victims, male and female. 20. The novel I'm writing has a male assault survivor because, again, #nomoresilence. I believe these things need to be talked about ago people know they're not alone. 7y
