Mehso-so

Biographies are always hard to judge. I feel like people should be allowed to tell their stories the way they want but I really found this lacking. The chapters are not chronological, but they also do not seem to build on each other. Which makes it feel like a hodgepodge of stories.

Overall it is fine (if you are not looking for humility or humbleness, which I think is okay). Really reminded me how awful Bush 2.0 was.

Nancy Pelosi shattered the marble ceiling when she became the first and only female Speaker of the House. At 46, her run for Congress led to one of the most storied political careers in the history of the United States. In her new book, Pelosi takes us through her career, leadership, and roles in some of the most pivotal issues and events over her decades of service.

This is more of a showcase of the major events and legislation that Pelosi has lived and worked for. Her strategy is preparation, steadfast values, and knowing what can win and what won‘t. I wanted more about her life and she‘s not a writer, but she commands so much respect from me that I can only give her 5 stars.

I bought this because of the cover. Because I love this Max Mara coat she is wearing. It cannot be the stupidest reason I ever bought a book, but it's up there. This would still be lingering on my TBR shelf if it weren't for #BookSpin.

But the book itself is SO interesting. It's well written and flows well. I'm pretty impressed with it. The book ends with her announcing a certain planned impeachment in 2019.

#BookSpin done! @TheAromaofBooks
