It‘s a retelling of an ancient play: Euripides‘ Herakles, translated rather loosely by the brilliant Anne Carson who incorporates scenes from today, from Chernobyl, from 1920s Russia and more. The tragedy comes through like a Minotaur through the heart. And still manages to end with some hope. #CanLit #poetry #multigenre
