EadieB @Butterflyamore Good job! I think you made wise decisions. I looked up the books as you were speaking and I agree especially with The Girl Before as I gave that 1 star and decided it was a waste of time. I have gotten rid of 110 books in January. I posted them on paperbackswap.com and have been mailing them to those who have requested them. I also get a credit for each book and can order new books with my credits. 5y

EadieB @Butterflyamore I need to drastically downsize as my daughter and granddaughter are coming to live with us in late June from Virginia. Mostly I am getting rid of historical fiction as I mostly enjoy historical mystery and I don‘t find myself gravitating to the hist/fiction. It has been alleviating stress as I don‘t feel so overwhelmed by my excessive amount of books I own. I will continue each month to release about 100/month. (edited) 5y

abookishbutterfly @EadieB That‘s a really impressive number! I definitely understand your feelings on historical fiction, as I‘m more inclined to gravitate toward HF with some mystery in it but there are some exceptions. I‘ll have to check paperbackswap.com out. I use other platforms but that sounds really interesting! 5y

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I am moving some boxes of old books into storage for now and in cataloging them, I pulled some out that I am no longer interested in. As I read others, I'll be unhauling the ones I didn't love. 5y

EadieB @Butterflyamore That was an interesting way to unhaul books. I need to unhaul some books too but I usually check out the ratings on Goodreads and Amazon and anything below a 4 star rating gets unhauled. I also read the descriptions and some reviews as they are very telling whether I will like the book or not. 5y

abookishbutterfly @EadieB I‘m glad you have some methods that work for you because getting rid of books is such a tough decision. I definitely think this method worked for me so I‘m glad I figured that out. I‘ve read books with high ratings that I haven‘t liked and books with low ratings that I have liked so it‘s so hard to tell for me based on ratings. 5y

EadieB @Butterflyamore Read some reviews on Litsy about The Three. Lots of good ones! But checking Amazon and Goodreads only 3.1 and 3.2 respectively. So I think you should get rid of it. (edited) 5y

abookishbutterfly @EadieB I am getting rid of it but I am going to continue with my method rather than going by ratings. I think this method definitely works for me and I don‘t always have the same opinion, when it comes to average ratings. 5y
