pick#NappaneePublicLibrary #ExpandYourHorizons 2019 challenge included reading a chapter book from either the teen or children's section. Kipling's Jungle Book has been on my TBR pile for years and I'm not sure why I haven't read it until now, especially since I have this odd interest in feral children. I didn't anticipate the jungle language being so Shakespearean with black panthers, bears and rock snakes speaking with thou, thee, thy, thine & ye.
so-soSpent my Friday off work knocking the first task off my public library's first #ExpandYourHorizons challenge. Using the online catalog, I typed in 'Maggie Carr' seeking an author I share my name with came across Robyn Carr and for self-awarded bonus points a main character with my first name too! Woop woop! One of the main male characters rubbed me the wrong way (he was awful in my opinion). The story line was slow but not terrible.
