so-soThe plot didn‘t interest me, but everyone kept raving about it and then it won the Women‘s Prize. The narration took a while to get used to, and it‘s quite long. I‘ve also just read two YA novels about foster care & opioid epidemic, so it all felt a bit too much.
Good book, just not a book for me.

Finally bit the bullet and started this one after moving it down my pile in favor of several others several times. It‘s a little slow-going for me, but enough people whose opinions I trust have recommended it that I‘m going to stick with it for now.
