Ch. 6 The Portkey #dangersofignorance

So Bill, Charlie and Percy Weasley have their license to apparate and will join the the group later at The World Cup. Learned a new Harry Potter word "splinched" ( leaving parts of your body behind". It seems that apparition can be very dangerous if not done properly! #hpchapteraday

DGRachel Yes, splinching is very nasty! 8y

#HPChapterADay #DangersofIgnorance If we don't respect (learn, understand, appreciate) our power it can lead to dangerous results. This theme can apply to apparition in the story or to many things in our own lives.

#hpchapteraday #dangersofignorance In this chapter the dangers of ignorance are basic-without Mr. Weasley's explanation Harry could miss the transport to the game, a muggle could accidentally pickup keys or come upon this odd group clutching a boot & not know what to make of it- & some more complex Apparating without the proper knowledge can lead to splinching & what would a muggle's ignorance of apparating & splinching lead them to make of that?

Redjewel_7734 Con't...these show us how important it is for us to be informed. Assuming knowledge in this time of fake news can lead to dangerous conclusions & consequences much larger than embarrassment due to the tactlessness of one like Mr. Diggory. It's crucial that we each take the time to know of what we speak before opening our mouths or jumping to conclusions. 8y

I don't care about the dangers of apparating. I am more interested in this (ignorant) gloating father.
