1. I have but then I celebrate Hanukkah….and it‘s over.
2. I finished the tagged book last month. The main character goes food shopping alot and I loved to read what she bought from the high end shops she visited… cheeses, wine, olives.

The story of an Admissions counselor at Princeton…whose life gets turned upside down. I saw the movie first so I knew the storyline and really liked reading the book.

The tagged book is my #Doublespin read and my goal is to read that. Airplane reading….as I am going to see Taylor Swift at the Chief‘s vs Eagles football game Monday night. 🤣

Pickpick

April 25, 2023 Do not despise YA fiction. I have been reading less YA fiction because I feel like I have outgrown it but this book was definitely something that I could relate to. It was a high school aged book about a senior named Alejandra Kim and her confessions as a Korean and Hispanic girl living in Queens, New York. She felt like she never belonged and "never felt right" because ppl would not pronounce her name correctly. 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

April 16, 2023 In the chapters after, Alejandra meets a longtime friend Billy Diaz, but his old nickname is Chivi. He just returned from the DR and they catch up. Then, in another chapter, Alejandra discusses the tragic loss of her Papí and how she wished she could have done more to keep him alive

April 16, 2023 Yesterday I decided to take a break and read a YA fiction book. When I was at Books Inc at Laurel Village, this book really called my name. I glanced at it and then REALLY read the synopsis. It was relatable and intriguing because it is about a senior in high school named Alejandra Kim who is disrespected and teachers mispronounce her name which leads to her friend Laurel writing up a petition to fire JBJ. But there is more...

Non-Fiction:When reading parts of the passage I was confused on exactly why someone would mess with her transcripts, until I realized it was because she was poor; they didn't do it out of revenge or hatred.

Fiction: I would say the main character taught me the most. She taught me that even when it seems like you're in over your head, their's always a way out.

😁Fiction: This book teaches you that life isn't always fair. It teaches it in a brutal way of a highschooler who ( we think) had her transcripts tampered with, so she wouldn't be accepted into any university of college.

Non-Fiction: No, not at all. The author rights it from a viewpoint of someone having their transcript messed with and with how anyone would react. It's doesn't have bias and is simply made for you to believe what you wish. 😁
