I love Richard Russo, I really do... I'm enjoying this book a lot also. But lordamercy, this man is repetitive and verbose! In the same paragraph, he's rewording the same sentence 3 times... I'm not sure if I'm reading a story or studying for the SATs and a reading comprehension test all at once!!!!

IamIamIam @LibrarianRyan It's as close to warm and fuzzy as I can stand but only because the girls are so real. I feel like it's a modern day Little Women, which I have moderate tolerance for. That's saying a lot!! Lol, I'm hesitant to get the next book because it's the last one!! 😭😭 5y

mjtwo Oh I agree with the Little Women comparison @LibrarianRyan ! In my mind Sky embodies both the unlikeable Amy and the frustrating Jo (when she rejects Laurie). I wholeheartedly dislike her! 3y
