If all christians were like Pope Francis, they would not have to proselytise. If all people were like Pope Francis, we wouldn‘t have wars, abused children, hunger, or poverty. I am baffled that this man was so controversial as a pope when all he preached was what Jesus preached. He had love and compassion for all. What a sorry state we live in that love and compassion are controversial.

GingerAntics @AnnCrystal he is so different from the church itself. He‘s so well read. He sees every person as equal to every other person. The world would be so different if christians in general would have followed his lead. He is a capital C Christian. Not many deserve that distinction. 6d

This was an interesting middle grade look into America during the Vietnam War.

First off, I did like that it took place during the Vietnam War. The Vietnam War is not often depicted in books, especially middle grade ones, so it was refreshing to see. I also loved the setting of San Diego. I used to live there so it holds a special place in my heart.
