panI know people enjoy a backstory of well-known villains. I, apparently, do not.
Xifeng is fated to become the evil queen of Snow White fame—but I found her reasons for embracing darkness & cruelty unimpressive. She was all over the place emotionally & there were too many annoying contradictions for me to care. She & her BFF just felt like imperial court mean girls. I can respect a quality villain (Lady Sun) but I was bored by Xifeng‘s beauty BS.

aeeklund @elkeo I‘m trying to decide if I want to push through it, since I just got the arc of the sequel/companion (about the Snow White character). Not sure... 7y
