So it had to take my cousin who has only been staying here for two months (she is one of the theatre actors in the play Boeing Boeing produced by Wild Rice) to introduce us (who have been living here for nine years) to chwee kueh, ostensibly the "comfort food" in Singapura. Chachic You've never tried chwee kueh?! It's yummy but so unhealthy. They use pork lard in the topping. Have you tried chee cheong fun? Haha you should ask your Singaporean friends to take you on a Singaporean food tour. 7y

BookishMe Most chee cheong fun have no fillings. The coffee shop nearest to Jurong Regional library has a dim sum stall where chee cheong fun come with prawn or char siew fillings. DELISH! Bengawan Solo has variety of sweets kuehs if you haven't tried them 7y
