Well that was a several-day pain in the .....
I will never make these ribbon cookies again. The only good thing is several of them were, by default, too ugly to gift so I ate enough of them to feel a little sick.

It's that time of year! Instead of making a dozen ready cookie or brownie recipes for the office, this year I am making just a couple of fancier cookies.

A day off this close to Christmas means baking and wrapping. Well, I had just enough flour for a double batch of these guys, and about half the wrapping is done. But it‘s been a very relaxing day otherwise. Plus I got my call to schedule my vaccine and nailed down the last slot at my hospital for that day. So even though I have to go back in the evening after working all day, at least I don‘t have to drive further to the other location. 😁
