Bailed out at only 6% I don‘t want to sit around and read a book of millennial cliches.

Honestly, I would have never read this book if I just based it by the cover and if it wasn‘t recommended by 3 coworkers. Cheesy romance /smut is not my thing but this was actually a pretty darn good story and good for the spooky season. I finished this in two days and the ending had a pretty good twist! This is definitely a case of not judging a book by its cover 😂
Sheweee, about 50% finished with this one and it‘s SPICY 🥵 Really good so far too!
So…it‘s The Others. I knew this book has a mind-blowing ending, so I went into it knowing it probably wasn‘t a scooby-do ending (it was the neighbor the whole time!). Unfortunately, I figured out what was going on almost immediately. As soon as Kayla mentions the knocks on the door, lights going off when she turns them on, tv doin the same thing, I was like “oh, she‘s dead.” It was a quick read, but anti-climatic. And very sad.
Not great literature here, but a compelling story that I read in one day. Kayla meets the love of her life 3 weeks after her husband drowns. On the downside way too much smut and too much supernatural stuff with the lights flickering etc. On the plus side a very interesting ending that made the book worth reading. And I mean it when I say the ending was one total surprise.

🤔🤔🤔 I don‘t know how I feel about this book. Did I read it in one day because I couldn‘t put it down yes. When I figured out the plot twist and realized it‘s just basically the plot of a Nicole Kidman movie I‘ve already seen with lots of smut and odd couple pet names Bunny and lion??? Was I a bit ticked? Maybe but I guess that‘s the joy of reading ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is one of those books that you read thinking it is going to be all about the romance and the spice but it is the plot that really grabs you. Loved this story and the ending just blew me away. 4.5⭐️🔥🔥🔥

I pull out my phone, texting Eden. Having a Pretty Woman moment.
Be more specific, she answers. Were you shunned from stores or are you in a bubble bath?
