📖#Whitehall Episode 3, which I am reading/listening to via Serial Box app.

King Charles scandalously goes back and forth between Queen Catherine and his mistress Barbara Palmer. The King has given Barbara a position at court as (!!!) Lady of the Bedchamber. NATURALLY the Queen is not having it.

The reactions of all three parties has me excited for whatever is next. BEST EPISODE YET! I‘m fully invested.

Episode 2 of #Whitehall via the Serial Box App. You can read or listen. I listened to the audio provided within the app, narrated by Fiona Hardingham: LOVED!

This episode features the huge Catholic vs Protestant wedding issue, as Catherine gains more ground as Queen. Also, Barbara begins to come undone as she realizes her place as mistress and the King‘s main squeeze isn‘t as solid as she thought. So dramatic! The last few minutes are pure gold.

I‘m reading + listening to #Whitehall via the Serial Box app which I LOVE. S1E1 is Embarkations, in which Catherine of Braganza marries Charles II of England in 1662.

Fiona Hardingham narrates the audio —> fantastic!

This episode features Catherine‘s journey from Portugal and her arrival to England, and we get to know Charles II and Barbara Palmer, his pregnant mistress. (It takes Charles a week to come greet Catherine, he is with Barbara!)
