What are you reading this weekend??

Soap opera high drama in the ice skating world. Count me in! Was it a tad too long? Yes. A few too many near death overly dramatic moments? Absolutely. But who cares. It has sabotaged skating competitions, Olympic scandals, romantic upheaval, and a lot of ruthless, ambitious women doing whatever the hell they want. And you MUST listen to the multi-voice audiobook. Ice diva Johnny Weir voices a flamboyant, snarky journalist and he‘s fantastic.
Okay, ultimately I quite liked this. I was a bit meh on the love triangle, but mostly I thought that the Welsh stuff was handled well, and I enjoyed Ffion and Tal's journey.
You want a good smut book and a Catholic daughter girl. This is your book. Enjoy it and you want want to put it down.
This is so far superficially very Welsh, but I guess we'll see.
Putting a warning in spoilers in the comments, to do with animal welfare.

A dark, gripping, period‑set, teen‑led mystery that blends traditional crime suspense with a hint of the uncanny.
Blood‑draining murders, a teenage suspect, and a collaboration between a journalist-son and a sheriff-father to try and reveal the truth.
While some aspects of the story feel a little unbelievable, I genuinely appreciated Michael Jensen's storytelling and his subtle crush on suspect Marie Catherine Hale.

This book hooked me from the very beginning. ⛸️⛸️
