This was a thing. A thing, I say!

I did the audio & they were on the money here. It‘s good, it‘s scary, it‘s full of WTF details.

Just advice? Don‘t pick on strange but harmless young men…unless you wanna birth a reaper of souls. 😰😈

Yikes. This feels so much more relevant than the first time I read it. Scary because it can happen here.

This isn't the first time I've rooted for the serial killer, but it may be the first time I felt sorry for one. And for his best friend Amber, who is trying to help him through her knowledge of slasher movies. I especially loved how Jones described how Tolly saw and felt things when in slasher mode. So much better than the mask eyes in Halloween.

I have now become a huge fan of Jones and will be reading more of his books.

This was an interesting read. Like the author, I love basketball. I played it as a kid, though in high school I focused on soccer. I grew up going to University of Memphis basketball games (Memphis State at the time!); my parents have stories of me being a baby and being passed up and down the row with other season ticket holders. March madness is my favorite time of year.

Lauranahe Also, horror is my favorite genre. My mom has a little journal she kept for a hot second when I was young, and when I was 5, she has recorded that my favorite movie was Critters. I‘ve always loved horror. (Cont…) 8mo
Lauranahe So when Josh Malerman wrote in the author‘s note at the end that this book is a love letter to basketball and horror…I get it. I GOT the girls in the book. The anxiety. The camaraderie. The fear. The love of the game, and of ghost stories. And the fear of the ghosts stories, and the truths of the rim. 8mo

I‘m a baby when it comes to scary stories so I almost didn‘t read this one. But I LOVE Kalynn Bayron, and I‘m so glad I finally picked this one up, it had my heart racing but was soooo good

3.5 ⭐ Climbing the cornfield three takes us to a cult. This cult feels like an Amish society. They worship Frando and there was just weird crap that goes on. Like cannibalism and other things. There are a lot of leftover questions from this book. I know there‘s going to be a book for but this book barely connects to the other too. It does connect, but it‘s getting out there. It‘s like when Freddie met Jason in space.

LibrarianRyan They took a step too far. I didn‘t mind this book and I still love the series, but I need to see what happened next and I need all the holes filled. Like where the body comes from. How does it have the psychedelic effect. Lots and lots of questions 10mo
