1. SJM really likes the phrase “unwashed bodies”
2. Her writing is so descriptive and immersive - I‘m honestly mad that I‘ve left it for so long to read one of her books
3. Sam. Poor, poor Sam that was a heartbreak that I wasn‘t prepared for, even though I saw it coming.
