I realized this morning that I‘ve purchased 12 ebooks in the past week and 2 paperbacks. 14 books. In one week. The 3 books pictured were from this morning. They‘re all on sale on Kindle today. I have to admit that I #blameitonlitsy! 🤣

wanderinglynn @booksellerbooster Hi Erin. I appreciate your comment; however, Litsy is a community, a place for book nerds & friends to connect. It is not a marketplace where we wish to “reach a wider audience” or “enhance [our] online presence.” I recommend you try participating in the community instead of trying to sell your services. Thank you. Best, Lynn 1w
wanderinglynn @Aims42 every time! 🤣 Luckily my library allows us to check out books for 21 days. So hopefully, I can get at least a couple of these read before then. 1w
wanderinglynn @shortsarahrose awesome! I‘m looking forward to it. Acevedo is a local DC author, so I‘ve been wanting to read one of her books. 1w
wanderinglynn @Bookwormjillk I still have your LMPBC book! 🤦🏼‍♀️I promise I will get it back to you soon. 1w
Bookzombie Dread Nation and The Poet X are both really good on audio. 🙂 1w
wanderinglynn @Bookzombie thanks for the tip! If I don‘t get to them before I have to turn them back in, I‘ll definitely check them out on audio 👍🏻 1w
Suet624 Definitely Poet X first. So good. 1w
Aims42 @wanderinglynn That‘s awesome!! You got this 💪 1w
booksellerbooster @wanderinglynn Thanks for the guide. 1w
wanderinglynn @Suet624 thanks! I‘m finishing our Wyrd and Wonder month (fantasy reads). But I‘ll make Poet X will be my first read for June 👍🏻 1w

How is it possible that the number is so high? For what it‘s worth, I‘m not actively reading all of these. It‘s just that I‘m stuck somewhere in the middle of them and am determined that they won‘t be a DNF or a bail. I mean, I was enjoying them. I just haven‘t picked them up in a while. I think I‘ll try to get that number down to 10 by the end of June. We‘ll see how that goes. #ReaderProblems #LongLiveTheTBR #TheStruggleIsReal

quietlycuriouskate I so relate to this! 2w
Bookwomble @quietlycuriouskate @slategreyskies Me, too! I've been right up there as well, and actively trying to reduce my number of CRs. Just bailed on one I realised I wasn't into, but not yet ready to DNF any others! I'm down to 12 CRs now. 2w
peanutnine Don't feel bad. My currently reading number is 28 🙈 The plight of a mood reader 2w

slategreyskies @quietlycuriouskate My non-reader friends don‘t get it, but it really is a thing for me. I have a stack of books next to where I sit in the living room. The stack starts on the floor, but it‘s so high I could put a coaster on top and have a place for my mug. 🤣 2w
slategreyskies @Bookwomble yes! I get this! Maybe, as I‘m actively working my way through the list, I‘ll find one I‘m not into that I can DNF as well. I suppose that it doesn‘t much matter how they make their way off my CR list… just that they do! 2w
Bookwomble @peanutnine I feel it! 😬 2w

My only dilemma this morning is which book to read first, since I‘ve got several that I‘ve checked out from the library, and I don‘t think I‘ll be able to finish them all before I need to return them.

If I can‘t decide, I‘ll just continue with the third book in this series. I‘m trying to get through as many of them as I can before they are removed from Audible‘s free section at the end of the month.

#UpNext #TheStruggleIsReal #ReaderProblems

Lsmoore43 I would read them in order. Check out the ones you didn't finish again?? Maybe?? 4w

So I‘m not sure if I‘ve just never read a new book with painted edges or what, but ALL the pages are sticking together. The struggle is real to just turn to the next page. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤪🤪

Booksblanketsandahotbeverage 😱🤷‍♀️ I haven‘t read one either yet.. 1mo
5feet.of.fury It‘s such a trend right now, but some I have found are just not well done, sticky & smudgy 1mo
Suzze I haven‘t either! Is this the regular edition? I may get it for Kindle instead. 1mo
Laughterhp @Suzze I think so! I bought it at my local indie, so I don‘t think it‘s a special edition or anything. 1mo

This one is due back at the library, and it‘s sweltering outside, but I‘m trying to find the energy to finally finish this series. After being indoors all day at work, I just want to be outside reading. The 🦟 are trying to spoil my plans though, after all the rain we‘ve gotten lately. #readerproblems

Pickpick

I had read really good reviews of this book and I went into it with very high expectations…. and I thoroughly enjoyed it! But I do wish I had read it with no idea what it was about - I would have been much more swept away by it without my preconceived ideas.
Darn it, I feel like this is a 5 star book that I robbed myself of. Oh well, maybe I‘ll get it on audio next year and experience it again.

Ruthiella It happens! 😢 1y
Centique @Ruthiella it does! Must go back to my strategy of giving myself a year to forget what I‘ve heard. 😝 1y
Ruthiella @Centique Excellent strategy! I often avoid reviews on Litsy and elsewhere when I know I want to read a book for fear of knowing/expecting too much. It‘s a delicate balance! #ReaderProblems 1y

Centique @Ruthiella me too! I know we are both time travel book fans, I think I should be particularly careful about reviews for those books, the potential for finding favourites is high! 1y
squirrelbrain Great review! Hopefully you an comeback to it later and find that extra star ⭐️! 1y
Clwojick Good to hear - My hold just came in, and I have no idea what it‘s about! 😊 1y
BarbaraBB I know what you mean. I went in blind and it turned out to be a 5 star read 1y
Rissreads You have sold me! 💜 1y
Centique @Rissreads oh good! And I hope it works that 5 star magic for you 💕 1y
CarolynM Great review! I have a copy, I‘ll have to bump it up my priority list🙂 Your Christmas gift from me has apparently just landed in NZ more than 2 weeks after it was sent😡 I‘ve got my fingers crossed you might just get it tomorrow. 1y
Centique @CarolynM oh gosh do not worry at all! I will love it whenever it arrives 🥰 1y

Sitting in the airport, waiting to fly to the happiest place on earth. Loving how many readers I saw walking in, but yikes! One had folded corners and another had wrapped the front cover around to the back of the book! #ohthehorrors #bookabuse #callthepolice #disneybound #ihopeibroughtenoughbooks #readerproblems

Ok Littens. I need some help!

I keep hearing about these books but I haven't tried one yet. Never thought about it.

Today, our library announced that TJ Klune is coming to our tiny town for a reading/signing next week and since we never have ANYONE come here....I have to go! 🤣

Which one do I buy?

#ReaderProblems

ImperfectCJ I recommend The House in the Cerulean Sea. My family and I loved that one but didn't really get into Under the Whispering Door. I finished it, but they (two teens and my spouse) decided to bail. 2y
ICantImReading I also liked The House on the Cerulean Sea the best, but they are both good! 💙 2y
Soubhiville They are both amazing. Cerulean Sea is a more happy vibe, Whispering Door leans bittersweet. What are you in the mood for? 2y

Deblovestoread I had the same experience as @ImperfectCJ. All the stars for Cerulean Sea but DNF'd Whispering Door. 2y
Chrissyreadit I only read Cerulean Sea but it gets all the stars from me and will always be a favorite book. 2y
RamsFan1963 Of the two, I'd definitely pick Cerulean Sea. Whispering Door is good, but the other is AMAZING!! 2y
Smrloomis Super jealous that the author is coming to your town!! 2y
Smrloomis Oh and also 1 more vote for the The House on the Cerulean Sea… haven‘t read the other one yet but I loved The House. 2y
julesG Cerulean Sea! The other Littens already said it, Whispering Door is good, but CS is just so much better. 2y
FantasyChick Well I guess the votes are in and I have an answer! Thanks for all your help @ImperfectCJ @ICantImReading @Soubhiville @Deblovestoread @Chrissyreadit @RamsFan1963 @Smrloomis @julesG I'll be heading to the bookstore after work!! 2y
Booksblanketsandahotbeverage How was the author visit? I just read Whispering Door and loved it!! 1y
