pickThe second half of this duology was a quick read that I definitely found more satisfying than the first. The young people showed a lot more rebellion & self determination in this one, & it ended on a positive note. This series made me think about Atwood‘s quote that she never included anything in her books that hadn‘t happened to somebody somewhere. This was all presented in a fantastical way that seemed kinda over the top, but the messages ⬇️
