Little donkey likes grass so much that he turns green! Mom Donkey tried to tell him that variety is a good thing. Cute bedtime story for my youngest tonight. 🥰

Spent the day making pickles while listening to an audiobook and some pod cast.
I love pickles….if you put it in vinegar I will eat it. These will last me a few weeks (maybe…🤣).
Today I made pickled —> red onions, Spicy pineapple, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, garlic, garlic scapes!
4.5 🌟
Picky eaters are hard to deal with. They will only eat one thing. That is exactly Donkey‘s problem. He will only eat grass. So much so, it turns him green. But with a little persuading from mom, he might just find a new snack. This would be fun to read before bed, or even at story time. The illustrations are soft, but lively and fun as well.
“Tales for Very Picky Eaters” by Josh Schneider is a funny F book that tells the story of James who is a very picky eater! He doesn‘t enjoy broccoli, eggs, or oatmeal. In order to get James to eat the foods he thinks he doesn‘t enjoy, his dad finds very creative ways to get him to try them. Pick up this Geisel Award winning book and try using it for a RA in the classroom! #UCFLAE3414F19
“What if the only thing you had to eat was DIRT?”
This quote is funny. It is when the dad is telling his son to try a new food and he doesn‘t want to, so the dad says something about eating dirt (which we all know is gross.)
This is a great book for the classroom AND for parents to read to their kids at home. It‘s about how important it is to try new foods especially for young children, and it is portrayed in such a funny way where kids will laugh!
I loved this story. It could be read to children when they‘re young and developing new taste buds. It can be read to children about being picky eaters and how it‘s important to try new foods.
I thought I‘d like this more than I actually did. The title is hilarious. The story itself is okay, and the twist is fun, but we probably won‘t read this one again.

1. Be lazy!
2. Random selection because everything I‘ve read this month has been pretty good.
3. Black eye peas, chitterlings, cantaloupe. And many others #PickyEater
4. As a kid I loved my ballet, tap, jazz and baton. Traded it all (though no choice is my own) for cheerleading in middle school through 11th grade.
5. 🍻Cheers to the weekend!
