I am intrigued by this novel about an unwed mother in 1880s Philadelphia, published just a day or two ago! (It would've been a great one for the #PhiladelphiaFreedom prompt.)
I will always have a soft spot for this story (set in Philly) as it was the first time I read "I Carry Your Heart With Me" by e.e. cummings. Had to wait until today for #PhiladelphiaFreedom because this book was in my classroom. It gives quick biographies of the men who built the Constitution in Philly.

Hugh Williamson was a brilliant doctor who studied in Utrecht!
Richard Spaight became governor, founded UNC Chapel Hill, and died in a duel!
William Blount was a total dirtbag who stole money and land and eventually committed treason!
