#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 15 Ch.16-22/review: Eve faces a lot of ethical and emotional questions in this book. She feels disillusioned with people who she thought were working with her on one side of the law. But when the justice system fails, is it right to take the law into your own hands? What if in doing so, you hurt people who get in the way? Eve faces threats to members of her own team - Trueheart, Mcnab, and Peabody. ⬇️

StayCurious So things are even more close to home. She butts heads with Roarke (as per usual), and climbs up the bureaucratic ladder where scandal awaits at the very top. This was an interesting case and an emotional book that once again brought us closer to our core group. 2mo
StayCurious The more of these books I read the more I can‘t wait to see where these characters will go next. 2mo

LiseWorks Same here. Eve is very much a go by the book kind of cop but she does ask Roarke to break the law when she feels she has no choice. A pregnant Mavis will be interesting in future books. 2mo
TheAromaofBooks There were some interesting ethical questions in this one. While I did agree that no group of people should just be allowed to run around essentially lynching people, there is always that nagging question of what you do when the system fails - people who were in fact guilty but who got off anyway and are free to continue hurting others. It was hard to 100% disagree with Purity, even while recognizing that their methods were wrong. 2mo
Ddzmini This was a great way to present how a group or organization can influence the public in agreeing with their perception of how to conduct executions of individuals that don‘t live up to their expectations or break laws … are they right or wrong… what happens when you are caught committing a crime they fell is against their beliefs… even if it‘s a simple crime like a financial crime… what then 2mo
Ddzmini What if the crime is just not going along with the groups perceived ethical standards… that‘s why this was such a great read. 2mo
