Today‘s attempt to use up my huge amount of produce involved couscous and braised chard with chili, garlic, and tomato. It was pretty good.
I read a bit of WITCH EYES while I ate. It‘s the kind of book I probably would‘ve liked a lot of I‘d read it when I first got it, but it‘s shaping up to be an American High School Story and I recently developed a low tolerance for those. I might drift away from it.

Starting with how trans women like Marsha P Johnson & Sylvia Rivera & the Stonewall riots paved the way for queer people to to be themselves, Desmond goes on to talk about how RuPaul‘s Drag Race show inspired them to dress up & create colourful characters. Dylan Glynn‘s brightly coloured art is an inspired match for the energy of this #GLBTQ picture book. #kidlit
