pickNocturnal Animals is one of my fave 2016 films. The book and movie complement each other well, and, while I enjoyed the book, Tom Ford's adaptation is slightly superior -- mostly for the visual aesthetics and smart story changes, like moving it out west, including cellphones, giving Susan more agency, and THE ENDING!!! The film's ending is a punch to the gut; the book's a mere slap in the face.
