so-soI can‘t say I enjoyed this book - it‘s bleak, meandering and intentionally confusing. However the writing is really thoughtful and the prose paints a visually disturbing portrait of trauma and sorrow. Heavy topic of sexual abuse by clergy adds to this already dark story of a retired police officer who‘s living out an isolated existence. #BookerLongList23
