#SeptemberSins After reading The Enchanted earlier this year I became obsessed with reading more from author Rene Denfeld. Tagged book is first in a series about an investigator who specializes in finding missing children. And before Rene Denfeld became an author, she was indeed an investigator working with missing children. Her writing is mystical & lyrical.

Ruthiella I read The Enchanted and kind of hated it. But I‘m always a bit wary about books where the subject matter is disturbing...am I reacting to the content or the writing style? In any case, I don‘t know if I could handle more books by her. They have fantasy elements but the undergrowth is dark and grim. 😨 5y

Cinfhen Interesting @Ruthiella I agree the content of The Enchanted was deeply dark but I found the writing so subtle and gorgeous. And even though I‘m not a fan of magical realism in this case I thought it was a beautiful addition. I‘m pretty sure you‘re going to love this book @BarbaraBB
