I loved the performance of this audiobook-but I wished for a physical copy more than once… Set in a seaside village on the decline, the book opens with the heads of the titular 16 horses & pairs together a local detective with a forensics veterinarian to solve this brutal crime. The style choices unfortunately don‘t translate well to audio with chapters ending mid-sentence. The plot eventually comes together & if there‘s a sequel, I would read it!

I am loving re-reading these books via audio. Jim Dale does an amazing job! It made my housework and chores much more enjoyable today. I kept finding more things to do so I could keep listening. I #audiocleaned, #audiobaked, #audiomowedtheyard, #audiowashedthecar, #audiolaundry.
