pickJulián Castro is third-generation Mexican American. His grandmother walked over the border as a 7-year-old orphan. She and his mother instilled two key values in Julián and his twin, Joaquin—education and public service. The writing reads quickly, it‘s not overly political, and the story is inspiring.
