It's been a minute since I read the first three in the series and had to stop because binging was making plot points blur. I found this as absolutely charming and delightful as the first three. This installment has probably the most payoffs for the mystery portions but also sets up some foreshadowing and more mysterious plot points that need answers. I'm also very happy the library I work at recently purchased book six so I won't be left hanging.

Book 4 in the Incorrigible Children series has the reader edging closer to resolutions to the various mysteries. Clever lessons for kids are scattered throughout the book - I feel like the series is getting better as it progresses. #CoverChangeMidSeries #BBRC #MiddleGrade

“Jumble means chaos...pandemimimum... pandeminiac... oh, havoc.” Cassiopeia covered her face in shame at forgetting how to say pandemonium. Which, to be fair, is not an easy word to pull off without practice.
“Now, now, a little mayhem never hurt anyone, Alexander said, and patted his sister on the shoulder.
“The children have a knack for synonyms,” Penelope explained modestly.

There are those who genuinely admire “Pirates on Holiday,” never mind all the dreadful reviews in the London papers. “Pirates on Holiday Is Lost at Sea” was one of the kinder headlines. “Somebody Sink this Show Quick” was another. Those of you with hearts stony & cruel enough to grow up to be theatre critics are free to imagine the rest for yourselves.

It was an ancient Greek scholar named Archimedes who first shouted “Eureka!” He was in the bathtub when it happened. Coincidentally, his discovery had to do with how water in a bathtub rises when an ancient Greek scholar is bathing in it...Most of us will never need worry about the volume of old Greek men in the bath. What is important is that shouting “Eureka!” is both enjoyable and
a spur to productivity.

The game is starting. Time to start reading my book!
